Davis unfortunately injured himself while taking a tough fall a few days ago, and he isn't going to play here. Obviously, that's a huge loss, and it will hurt them greatly on both ends of the floor. The Lakers are also at a significant rest disadvantage for this one as they had to play a game in Dallas late Friday night. As soon as that nationally televised game ended, they had to hop on a plane and recharge for this one less than 24 hours later. Even though they've been winning a lot of games they haven't necessarily been covering them, as they were just 3-8-1 against the spread in their last 12 games entering Friday's action. James is 35 now, so it's quite possible he has some fatigue on the second night of a back-to-back with all the minutes he's been playing.
